The lobster M&C was creamy and perfect for the cold night the broiled scallop must have come with a pound of U-10 (big) scallops simply cooked the fried whole Ipswich clam was lightly corn-meal coated and fried, as good as you'll get outside of Ipswich (and not as greasy). The chowder was chock full of tender clams and flavorful, even if a bit too much taste of flour/rue and not enough cream. A rustic restaurant with pies well on display as you enter. ![]() This year, we drove west from the Attitash ski resort and found the Cabin Fever in Bartlett. Conway, or drive to the Mount Washington Hotel at Bretton Woods, as we have numerous times for many years. I am sorry you do not agree.When skiing in the Mt Washington Valley, it is easy to gravitate towards N. So to answer your question, yes we have run a restaurant before and feel that we do it very well. Once we reprint the menus (this fall) all of these items will be on the menu and priced. I will speak to my staff and make sure everyone is well aware of what they are and the price of them. We all know very well what the specials are and should have been able to inform you. Again, not sure what you meant by the waitress/Manager didn't know much about the specials. As for the smoke alarm going off, this is most certainly not a common occurrence and the reason that our staff was not upset was because the kitchen knew what caused this and it was nothing to worry about, I am certainly sorry this happened while you were here, but I do not think it is fair of you to suggest that it happens all the time. ![]() Regarding our WIFI password, I am sorry if you felt like an inconvenience, but we do not have a public WIFI, the only one we have is used solely for our credit card processing. I do apologize if you were upset by this, however, I was here on the night in question and wish you would have spoken to me about this. ![]() Depending on the size of the party sometimes a party is moved ahead of someone who arrived first. I am sorry you thought you were next in line for a seat, when maybe this was not the case. We are glad you were pleased with the rest of the experience and we look forward to seeing you again soon! You need only to ask your server the price and they are happy to tell you. The lobster mac did not increase in price at all this summer. We try to leave the prices the same as much as we can, but sometimes we need to make small, temporary changes, but we always go right back to what it was. As for the lobster mac & cheese being at market price, that is because during the summer months the price of some seafood items (whole belly clams, lobster etc) can fluctuate greatly. We do not have a choice, it is what we are being forced to do. We do not like it either and are very disappointed in having to do so. Therefore when we bought the restaurant the Department of Environmental Services said that we either had to go to a disposable service or lose 20 seats in the restaurant, which as you know is half of the restaurant. Because of some new regulations and things that have changed, along with the amount of land that they own here, the system they were allowed to install is smaller than what used to be here. When the former owners were registering to sell the restaurant to us, they were informed that the septic system here had to be replaced. I am sorry that the explanation of the disposables was convoluted, let me see if I can explain it better. ![]()
